Hello! My name is Kenna Montes. I am currently in the 10th grade and I play a variety of sports such as basketball, track, volleyball, and I also go to my local gym to do numerous cardio and lifting workouts. However, out of those activities, volleyball is the one I am most passionate about. I have been playing volleyball since the 5th grade (2015), and my current position on my varsity volleyball team is middle blocker. Last year, I was a starter for my junior varsity team as a freshman and now this year, I was a starter for my varsity team. I always have a strive for learning more about the sport and practicing my skills, but unfortunately where I live, there are no club sports so I always try my best to attend to as many camps and take part in as many volleyball related activities as I can. I love competition and playing teams that are more skilled than mine because I feel like it makes me a better player, and being coachable is one of the most important things to me as a player. Whether it is in a game or at practice, I'm always trying to give 100% effort, and getting better outside of the court (which is why I do workouts). I am a straight A student and I am always open to learning something new, whether it is on the court or in a classroom. I hope to continue my volleyball career all the way though high school and college.
