My name is Macey Boggs and I am a class of 2021 setter from Gering High School in Nebraska. I am a 4.0 student that is ranked number 1 of 143 in my class. I would love the opportunity to play volleyball at the next level! This season, I was ranked number 4 in class B in aces with 63, number 6 in assists with 751, and number 6 in blocking with 39. This winter I also made prep dig's top team in a 4 state region. I have run a 5-1 on my high school team since freshman year. I also play basketball and soccer and have lettered in both every season.
As the quarterback of the team, I am someone who works to give their hitters the best opportunity to be successful. I also bring a high volleyball IQ and distribute the ball where it has the best chance of scoring. I spot serve effectively and always gives 110% out on the court! If you are looking for someone with these credentials I would love the opportunity to talk about being part of your program in 2021.
Here is a reference from my high school coach:
“Macey is a very fast setter with beautiful hands. She works hard to make her hitters look great. Her attention to detail is second to none. She will rep set after set after set until it is a muscle memory for her. She is extremely academic (already a 4.0 student, she has a goal to exhaust every math and science course we offer in our school). Macey is sharp and makes great decisions on the court. She is a great student-athlete and shows the utmost integrity and character and always represents our school with class. She is well-rounded playing bb and soccer in her off seasons to stay in shape, but I see her every Sunday working out playing volleyball. Her mom was a setter for the University of Nebraska at Kearney, and her older sister set for South Dakota School of Mines. She has had a great upbringing on the court, and she has a very high vb I.Q. “
