Personal Statement

I'm very passionate about volleyball and would love to pursue it at a high level, while attending a school with rigorous academics. I believe I'm a good fit for the middle hitter/right side hitter position because I enjoy the challenges that come with it. Specifically, I'm fascinated by the mental aspect of quick decision making that is unique to the position. As a natural leader I take on many responsibilities such as community service projects for my 4H club along with being active secretary for the club.   I am very supportive of others and like to help in any way I can. That being said, I'm a driven and hardworking individual who will always give 100% and I expect the same commitment from my teammates. I am flexible and willing to learn new positions as I have played setter in school but have learned how to play middle blocker and opposite hitter in club volleyball.  Within club, I have improved so much since the beginning of this year, and I can't wait to see the level I will be playing at the end of high school!

I'm just as passionate about academics as I am about volleyball. My interest in athletic training and physical thearpy draws me to a lot of possibilities. Problem solving and teamwork are facets common to a science field which could explain my attraction to them.

NCSA COLLEGE RECRUITING®

NCSA College Recruiting® (NCSA) is the nation’s leading collegiate recruiting source for more than 500,000 student-athletes and 42,000 college coaches. By taking advantage of this extensive network, more than 92 percent of NCSA verified athletes play at the college level. The network is available to high school student-athletes around the country through valued relationships with the NFLPA, FBU, NFCA and SPIRE. Each year, NCSA educates over 4 million athletes and their parents about the recruiting process through resources on its website, presentations of the critically-acclaimed seminar College Recruiting Simplified, and with Athletes Wanted, the book written by NCSA founder Chris Krause.
