My name is Chana Rothschild and I’m 5’11” middle at Douglas High School (DHS) in Minden, Nevada. I am currently a two-year varsity starter on my high school team. I think that my work ethic and talent would be a great match for your program. I will graduate in June 2023. I am interested in (University name) and learning more about your program! I’ve done my research and I am really impressed by your athletes’ dedication to both their athletics and academics. I noticed that you not only have a winning record, but you have set the school record for graduating the most athletes! As an aspiring high school athlete, I am driven to excel both athletically and academically, and I believe I would be a great fit for your program and I am interested in playing volleyball for you!

My biggest asset is that I’m a team player who focuses both on the court and in the classroom. I’m currently 48/390 of my class with a 4.0 GPA and I will be taking the ACT this year and I will submit my scores to you.

I’d like to major in prelaw and minor in Psychology, and I’ve been researching your school’s well-known prelaw program.

I wanted to update you on how things are going on my end. For school, I am taking AP English 3, AP US History so I can obtain an Honors degree. I am also taking Physics; Psychology and I have three years of Spanish.  For volleyball, I am on the Varsity Team at DHS and play middle/opposite position. Suzi Townsell is my coach, and she has watched me grow into a great athlete for many years. I eat healthy and I keep my physical fitness above standards.  I have been playing Club Volleyball at Northern Nevada Juniors in Reno for five-years.  I am playing again this year, and I am on the 18's Team with Julie Nebeker.  Club volleyball starts in December 2021 for the 2022 Season. I also volunteer with Coach Suzi Townsell at the Community Center in Minden teaching little kids’ volleyball. I enclosed a copy of the schedule if you would like to watch me play.
