Natalie Lyons '22 Recruiting Profile

I was about to quit volleyball after my 1st year playing. I thought i wasn’t good enough. I worked and pushed myself harder than i ever have to improve. I worked on the court and hustled more than ever to show my coach i wanted to be out there, always giving 110%. Over time volleyball has been my escape. Being on the court always brings a smile to my face. I love to cheer on my teammates and help them in any way i can, if that’s me having to dive on the floor over and over again so be it. I am a varsity captain on my school volleyball team. My main goal is to encourage my teammates on throughout the game and let them know they’re doing an amazing job. When on the court i don’t allow anybody to hang their heads on a snaked ball, missed serve or even just a silly error, I tell them “you’ve got this, you‘re doing amazing, shake it off and lift your head up!” I cannot imagine this year, my senior season of high school being the last time i play volleyball. I hope i can show another coach just how dedicated i am to this sport!
