I am a well rounded student who excels in academics as well as sports. I am searching for a college that offers a sports medicine degree or similar such as physical therapy, along with minoring in exercise science. I have been involved in and dedicated to sports since the age of 5. Upon entering high school I picked up volleyball and lacrosse and by my sophomore year I found myself as a key asset to the varsity level in both sports. Also in my junior year I was selected to the role of captain of the varsity volleyball team. Although I have always served my teams as a leader i felt exceptional being chosen for this role by my coaches and teammates.
My dedication, passion and heart is what I feel sets me apart from other athletes. Walking into practice everyday, wanting to be there, and wanting to always give it my all allows me to pursue my goals. I know there is always room for improvement and every practice I find the smallest and maybe largest things to change or fix to become that better athlete. I know it isn't always the physical ability that sets me so far apart from my teammates, but it is my focus, drive, and mind set that pulls me further and allows me to push to make the strides I love to look back on.
Having the ability to take this passion I have and dedicate it to the wellness of others in the field of sports medicine is a privilege. In this field not only will I be able to help others physically, I will continue to interact with athletes at all levels. I have the academics to excel in this area of medicine and the personal drive to want to help athletes of all kinds.
