My name is Libby Kosik. I’m a senior libero at Columbia High School in Maplewood, NJ. I’ve been playing volleyball for 7 years.
Volleyball is my primary sport but I have also played third base for our varsity softball team (state sectional champs in 2023). My experience playing infield at the 'hot corner’ has honed my reflexes and reaction time, which my coaches have told me translates nicely on the volleyball court.
This training and the hard work developing my defensive skills year-round for my club team (Top Tier in Livingston, NJ) enabled me to lead my high school varsity team in digs this past season. I was also named to the 2023 and 2024 All Super Essex Conference 2nd Team; earned my high school's 2023 and 2024 Varsity Player of the Season and Most Improved Player in 2023. I’m proud of those accomplishments but I want to get better.
Away from sports, I love spending time with friends, listening to music and going thrifting.
I haven’t decided on a major as I’m interested in a few different areas of study (e.g. Environmental Studies; Psychology) but I want competitive athletics and a team environment to be part of my college experience.
