2020 HighlightsPersonal Statement
I fell in love with volleyball during middle school. I realized I finally found the thing that drives me! Since middle school, I have pushed myself to get better by playing club, taking lessons, attending clinics/camps and making my high school freshman team. I am very passionate about volleyball, maybe even a little obsessed. I have also worked hard to be a good teammate. I know being a good teammate is just as important as having the skills. On the sidelines, I’m usually the one cheering the loudest for my team.
When I’m not playing volleyball or doing school work, I like to put my kayak in the lake or river by my home. I find it very relaxing to take a solo ride. I enjoy traveling with my family in our RV. We’ve travel up and down the East Coast – literally – from Bar Harbor, ME to Key West, FL. I also enjoy listening to music.
Over the next 3 years of high school, I hope to continue to improve and grow as a volleyball player. If I am fortunate enough to play in college, I would be thrilled! I will keep striving for that goal every day.
