After my 8th grade year I was faced with the difficult choice of picking a high school. I could follow my friends and teammates going to the in district high school, or go against the grain and choose a high school out of district where I would basically be by myself. I went with the choice I felt would help me grow the most as an athlete and a student. This was transferring out of district. Looking back now at the end of my freshman year I can say this was the right choice. I was the only freshman to make the varsity team in both basketball and volleyball. It wasn’t always easy but I believe I grew competitively, socially, and in self-confidence. Making it to the New Mexico 6A State Championship game was the highlight of my volleyball season. I can’t wait for my sophomore season to begin.
I’ve been involved in athletics ever since I can remember. My competitive nature came out competing against my brother and his team in their basketball and football practices at a young age. When I was in 6th grade I got my first taste of volleyball. I quickly fell in love with the sport! Since then I have sought out the best coaches in the area to help me learn everything I can about volleyball. One thing about me is if I don’t understand the skill I am determined to learn it. I love competing and working to make myself better. Even though college is still 3 years away I will do all I can to make myself the type of player any college would be proud to have.NCSA College Recruiting® (NCSA) is the exclusive athletic recruiting network that educates, assists, and connects, families, coaches and companies so they can save time and money, get ahead and give back.
