Personal Statement
Hello! My name is Sam Rickert and I’m a part of the Class of 2025. I play for Jaguars VBC based in Upstate NY (Schenectady area). I’m from a semi small rural school in Chatham, New York. I’m a very versatile and moveable player. My love for volleyball is so strong which allows me to mentally tune into any position when I’m needed.
I have great sportsmanship and I’m always looking to improve myself on and off the court. I’m extremely well-rounded and do well in regular scholastic classes. I also value team friendships and coach relationships. I’d like to get my bachelor’s degree in Environmental Science to then go onto Grad School where I will study Law to become an environmental lawyer. Plan B is to get a bachelor’s degree in Biology or Politcal Science.

- ActivitiesI did Shakespeare club/plays 3/4 years of high school. I enjoy new activities and I’m always willing to try things. I play the bass clarinet in my concert band class and dabble in Bari Sax, Contra Bass, and Tuba.
