Lexi LaScala '23 Recruiting Profile

I have been playing competitive volleyball since I have been in 3rd grade when my mom coached my CYO team.  I immediately fell in love with the competitiveness of the game, the team aspect and the strategy of the various rotations.  I played high level travel soccer and volleyball through my freshman year but I ultimately gave up soccer to commit 100% of my attention to developing as a volleyball player.  I feel most confident and effective as an outside hitter but am open to playing any position my coach asks me to and that can help my team.  I have played opposite, middle and back row when not looking to nail the ball from the outside.  My favorite thing to do is to end a long and competitive point with a huge hit into a  back corner.  There is no better feeling!  I hope to play in college where I can continue learning the game at a high level, help my team win and developing strong, and hopefully, life long relationships with my teammates and coaches while at the same time excelling in the classroom and getting a great education.
