Growing up in a more religious background that is primarily set around nature, I have developed many hardworking qualities. My culture and heritage are something that gives me my passion and drive, to better myself and the world around me. Being an Indigenous Athlete I have had to learn to own my space and create new opportunities for myself. I have learned to adapt to new changes and settings in my life, while also being disciplined and able to take criticism/feedback. Volleyball has been in my life since I was a little girl, and a sport in recent years that has given me a social and mental outlet. The intensity and teamwork of Volleyball are what I enjoy most. Volleyball is what I want to continue and learn in my college years.
