Since my very first volleyball game when I was ten years old I realized my passion for the sport. Volleyball is my form of relaxation and expression.
Currently I have been playing for six years, playing three years of club. My first year on varsity I was in the starting lineup. I remember my first game I was so nervous, but that game taught me I work well under pressure and to rely on my team. Since then I've taken every opportunity to improve my game, from playing for six hours on some days, going to multiple clinics and going to hours of practice.
Keeping up my grades has always been important to me, so I never miss a practice, game or tournament. Since I was four I've been playing softball, so overtime I've learned how to manage my time. Currently I only play varsity softball to focus all my attention on volleyball. For me not only is the sport important, but the community that comes with it. Some of the people I respect most in life are my coaches and teammates. This sport has left me with life long friends and a community of people I would have never met without volleyball. I hope to continue to grow as a person and in skill, and continue my volleyball career in a collegiate setting.
