I have always been drawn to sports. I started playing volleyball in the winter of my 7th-grade year. I try to keep myself busy every season so I’ve played a little bit of everything. I’ve played basketball, lacrosse, field hockey, tennis and run track. I’m a dancer and I have also done gymnastics for a few years when I was younger. I’ve been dancing since I was 5 years old. It was my first love. But there has always been a special place in my heart for volleyball. My main sports are volleyball and track & field. This year I made it to counties for hurdles in the spring track. Although I am very skilled in that area volleyball will always be my number one sport. It brings me joy in so many ways. I’m currently working my way up to playing the official libero of my high school varsity volleyball team. As of right now, my coach is in the process of experimenting with my position on the court because I am very successful in many areas. Three words I would use to describe myself would be driven, hardworking, and coachable. I am all of these things on and off the court. Education is a key factor in my life. I was the captain of my dance team and am an Honors Student at my high school. I am a member of the National Honors Society and Tri-M Music Society. In addition to that, I am a member of the Renaissance and Yearbook Club. I am very committed to the mindset of teamwork, sportsmanship, and kindness. I am constantly uplifting my teammates. I am a team player and enjoy helping as best as I possibly can. I was selected by my coach as “most positive teammate”. This simple comment made me realize the impact I’ve made on my team and I hope to make as much of an impact on my future team.
