I plan to major in either architecture or engineering while playing volleyball at the college level. My goal is to pursue a Bachelor’s degree at minimum, with an overall goal of a Master’s degree. I enjoy both athletics and academics, striving to improve on the daily. Versatility is one of my strong suits and I am always open to learning new things whether in academics or athletics. In volleyball, I have adapted to many positions throughout my 7 years of playing. I have experience playing modified(middle school), junior varsity(high school), varsity(high school), and club volleyball(2 years). Being 5’10”, I have experienced playing many positions except for libero. Setting for 1 year, middle for 4 years, and outside/right side for 2 years. Not only do I enjoy all aspects of volleyball, but I am skillful in many as well. My strongest assets include hitting, serving, and blocking, and I’m always ready to dive for every ball. I learn well through experience, hard work, and perseverance. I love going to every practice and even wish they were longer. Keeping up with my academics and maintaining a high overall average is important to me. I have always made honor roll and high honors, and continue to pursue academic achievement. I am a high achiever in both academics and athletic, always pursuing greater accomplishments. I like to spend my free time in the gym to build up muscle, stamina, and endurance outside of practice time. Balancing athletics with academics is easy to manage with proper time management and staying up to date with schedules and due dates. I am different from other candidates because I never lose motivation and willpower to succeed in athletics or academics due to my competitive nature. I take athletics seriously, and show up to every practice when I am physically able and only taking sick breaks if I absolutely must. Sportsmanship and consideration for all players on the court is huge in my eyes, I find it unjust to make unruly or demeaning comments towards any other players and strive to keep spirits high on the court. I find that I’m easy to get along with and am thoughtful of every word and action, so that no one feels uncomfortable.
