Growing up I always found myself playing some kind of sport and participating in various clubs and activities. However, after discovering volleyball in the 8th grade I immediately fell in love with the sport and knew it was something I wanted to continue to pursue throughout high school. Despite my love and passion for volleyball, I started playing relatively late and had lots of catching up to do if i ever wanted to play in college. My high school is also very small without a major focus on athletics but in a way I’m grateful for this because it allowed me to prioritize my academics and thrive in school. However, it also meant I wouldn’t discover the idea of playing in college until I was already incredibly behind in the recruiting process. I’m very hardworking, always hoping to learn new things and have energy that thrives when on a team with others. I strongly believe these qualities will make me a great fit to any team but will also benefit me in my future career. When i graduate I plan to major in either biology or biomedical engineering. I hope to find a school that strongly values both academics and athletics.
