Hello coaches, my name is Stephanie Sicilian. I have just completed my junior year at Valhalla High School located in Valhalla, New York and will be graduating in the class of 2020. I am a setter/right side on the 17 Red Downstate Volleyball Club team. I am looking to continue my career as a setter or become a defensive specialist at the collegiate level.
I am 5’7’’ and have a 17 inch approach vertical reaching 8’10”. My passion for volleyball started in the seventh grade after making the modified team. Ever since that year I have been attending camps and playing club to improve my skills. This past high school year my team had a 19-1 record, winning sectionals and making it to regional finals. After this successful season I was awarded as an All- League, All-Conference, All-Section, and All-State awards tallying 650+ assists in one season. As an academic student I have a 3.7 GPA and participate in many clubs including peer leadership and student government. Being in student government since the sixth grade has impacted the type of athlete I am. This has taught me to become a leader on the court and someone who can communicate well with their teammates.
I am always willing to learn new things and expand my skills in the game of volleyball. This is something I hope to continue into my college experience.
