Janie Harmelink '18 Recruiting Profile

    I am from Beaufort, North Carolina where I attend East Carteret High School. I was a starter on

my high school JV team for 2 years and varsity teams for 2 years. My senior year I was captain and led

the team in aces, kills, and digs. I currently play club volleyball for Twin Rivers Volleyball Club, in New

Bern, North Carolina. I have a 4.6 GPA and scored a 26 on the ACT. I am looking for a school where I can

play and contribute to the team, but getting a good education is also very important. I would like to pursue a

science major. I believe I can make a difference on the right team. My happy, positive attitude

contributes to my leadership ability and I can keep my team hyped before and during games. I believe

my skill and quickness combined with my court awareness and knowledge of the game make me a

strong asset to any team. Because of my size I think I would contribute best to a DII, school but I am open

to other options.
