Shayla Harris '22 Recruiting Profile

My goal is to get into a great college where I can excel, play volleyball, and eventually go into physical therapy or occupational therapy.  On the volleyball court is where I feel most at home and comfortable. I have played other sports and have been involved in other activities, but none hold a candle to how I feel when I step out on the court. Everything else just melts away and I focus solely on the game. I put 110% into volleyball, and when I step on the court, nothing else matters but the game. I give it my all each and every time I play. I try to encourage my teammates and model good sportsmanship at all times.  I am a team player and I see my teammates as a family. I also put the same effort into my school work, and I strive to be a better student every day. I am always looking for opportunities to learn and grow each and every day, as both a student and an athlete.
