Volleyball is my passion and I would love to pursue this sport at a school with both strong athletics and academics. I am a determined player always seeking out new challenges, and continue to further better myself as a player and a person. I love playing libero because you never know what kind of play you are going to face next. Both the physical and mental aspects of the position intrigue me, and I am always willing to do whatever it takes to not let the ball drop. I am always the first person to the gym, and the last person to leave. I take every opportunity that I can to work harder, and continue to grow in this sport.
I love the aspect of community on a team, and I strive to make every court I am on a more positive one. As a captain, I make sure I am always speaking encouraging words on the court, and never letting anyone get down. Not only am I very enthusiastic on the court, but I am very driven. I have always been a competitive person, and I will do anything to get the ball up and help my team succeed. I play up to whatever competition I am facing, and never shy away from a hard hit. In the past two years, I have received awards such as Coach's Player, MVP, and First Team All-Conference.
In college, I plan to major in biology because it has always been a strong interest of mine. I am involved in the Future Farmers of America club at my school as an officer, as well as being an honors student in my classes. I am also very involved in my community- volunteering to coach volleyball to young girls during the summer, delivering groceries to low-income families, and delivering hay and water to animals kept outside, just to name a few.
