I’m a 5'8" starting Setter/DS and Captain of the Halton Hurricanes VC U17 team in Burlington, Ontario.
I am also the setter for Canada's Youth National team .
As a volleyball player, I have a strong commitment to the team. I am a good communicator on and off the court and will always support my team mates. On the court, my team can count on me for awesome setting and strong defense. I’m a dynamic player with fast foot speed to chase down any ball. I have consistent hand on ball contact and will always find ways to set a ball into position for a play or kill. I am offensive minded player, and thrive on a fast paced offense with the ability to read the other team. Being a vocal leader I am able to maintain our team’s energy level.
My U16 team captured both 2018 Provincial and National Championships. I was also selected as National tournament MVP & One of 6 All-Stars.
This summer I am selected to represent Canada on the Women's Youth National Team. I am one of 12 athletes that will travel to Tulsa, Oklahoma in July to compete in the US HP Championships and travel to Honduras to compete in at the U18 Norceca Cup Qualifier.
In the summer of 2017 I was selected as the starter setter for the U16 Team Ontario and placed 1st at the 16U National Team Challenge Cup (Richmond Olympic Oval, BC).
I also enjoy my summer playing beach volleyball and place #1 out of 80+ teams and hold Provincial titles in 2016 & 2017. Last season I also placed 5th in Canada at the U15 Canadian Nationals.
I am also a beach volleyball coach at Legacy Volleyball club in the summer.
Academically, I have a 4.0 GPA in High School. I have a strong interest in Bio Science.
Ideally I would love to work in a field of Sports Kinesiology and assist in rehabilitating injured athletes.
When I’m not training or on the court playing, I like to spend my down time with my friends. I love most genres of music and especially like getting out to live concerts. I also love to travel with my family and we usually head somewhere exciting each year during spring break or summer break.
In the off indoor season I work on strength and conditioning training and on my overall skill development with specific training sessions including beach camps.
