I am a 6'0" left-handed setter and right-side for the 16U KW Predators in Waterloo, Ontario. I love volleyball and I am very eager to improve and become more knowledgeable about the sport. I welcome constructive criticism and am not afraid of hard work because I know that's how I will improve. My team can always count on me, no matter how easy or hard the situation is, to perform as well as I can whether I'm setting or attacking. I constantly try to be a teammate that others can look to for support or a little pick me up if they are feeling down. I have been complimented on my attitude on the court and how I always have a smile on my face.
Last season, my team won the Ontario Championships for the third time in a row and we won Nationals for the second time in a row. When I was at Nationals I was awarded with a Nationals All-Star. Last summer, I was a part of the High Performance Program and I was honoured to be on Team Ontario Red where I was able to represent Ontario in Halifax for the Canada Cup, where we finished second. This last season, my club team was working hard to recapture a provincial and national title. Our season was ended by COVID and I was awarded the 16U MVP and 17U All-Star awards. This summer I have made the next level of Team Ontario. We were hoping to compete in the U.S., but due to COVID-19, we’re doing the program online.
Academically, I scored a 3.5 GPA and I am on honour roll. I am very interested in the fields of Psychology and Kinesiology.
When I’m not playing volleyball, I coach seven and eight year olds in basic volleyball skills in a program that my club runs. I love to read, spend time with my family and friends, go for bike rides with my mom, and play the cello.
During the off season, I attend setting camps, and overall skills camps. I play beach volleyball with my teammates, and I train and condition as a member of Team Ontario.
