Delaney Barnes '20 Recruiting Profile

I am different than other volleyball candidates for various reasons. One of the main reasons would be that I am coachable. Being coachable, to me, is very important. I take in what the coach is telling me and apply it; making the necessary changes. Another reason would be my leadership abilities. I am a leader on and off the court. As a setter, I have to be the leader of the team which includes preparing them for success, digging my team out of pits of error, and making sure as a team, we achieve the ultimate goal. Aside from athletics, academics is extremely important to me. I was always taught that in anything and everything, do you best. I strive for excellence not only in the classroom, but also on the court.
