I am here today (quite literally) thanks to volleyball, as my parents met on the volleyball court. Sports have always been part of my life, and I have been playing sports since age 3. It all started with peewee soccer, then softball, and at 8, I joined my first volleyball team. Once I started my first club season, it quickly became my passion and the main focus of my athletics. I have always enjoyed learning, training, and competing against the best players possible.
I continue to thrive on the challenge of learning and improving my skills by checking in and receiving real-time feedback from my coaches. I enjoy playing multiple positions/roles on my club and high school teams, which has helped me improve my volleyball IQ and adapt into a competitive, well-rounded player capable of succeeding anywhere the team has the need. I always demand the best from myself and help and encourage my teammates to be at their best as well to ensure the team’s performance is better than the sum of its player parts,
In the classroom, I approach my academics and coursework the same way I do on the court. I work hard to ensure I am striving for my best grades and setting challenging goals for myself as a student-athlete in college and my career ambitions beyond my formal education. I feel these qualities of hard work, focus on the court and classroom, and teamwork make me a unique candidate for a college team.
