Naadira Jones '21 Recruiting Profile

My name is Naadira Jones, I currently attend South Florence High located in Florence, South Carolina. I plan to major in Business Administration at a 4 year institute. I have been playing volleyball for 4 years now and soon grew a passion for it even while competing on the school track team.  

Entering my freshman year, I made the JV team as a starter. Later the following, year entering my sophomore year I moved up to varsity for setting. I have played all positions during my freshman, sophomore, junior, and senior years. I was the setter my first two years, then transitioned to OH then to RS my junior year. Finishing out my senior year, I finished as a MB. Being my senior year I was honored to be selected as the captain of the team!

During my club years, my freshman year I made the 15u team playing primarily outside. During this time I was starting to get a feel for the game! Moving into my second year of club I played up to 18s level. Advancing into my third year, I started playing at the beach instead of Florence and made the 17 Nationals team and now for the 2021 season I made the 18 Coast United team enduring a higher level of competition.

As time goes on, my passion for the game continues to grow. Seeing yourself grow each year from skills to technique keeps you confident in your capabilities. Stepping out onto the court is a new learning experience everyday! My main goal is to compete at the collegiate level! I feel my strong work ethic, determination, and team player attitude greatly contributes to my team!
