Hi, my name is Michaela Bowman. I am a 2023 setter that attends Greenville Senior High Academy in Greenville,SC. I have been playing volleyball since 7th grade. In the begining, I only played to have something to do. However, over time I found myself understanding more about the game and wanting to play more and more. I have played volleyball for a total of 10 seasons (including school and club), and I don't want to stop after I graduate. By the end of this year, I will be able to say I've played four years of volleyball at the varsity level and I hope to be able to say the same with the collegiate level. I am a very audible and energetic player. I like setting as it helps me to have a connection with all of my teamates as well as my coaches. With the word student coming first in student-athlete, I currently have a 4.473 gpa hoping to gain a degree in physical therapy or sports medicine. So, even when my volleyball career ends I will still be close with athletes and the sports world. With all of that being said, I am hoping that all my hard-work on the court and in the classroom will pay off so I can continue to play the sport that I love for a college that fits me!
