It has been a dream of mine to play volleyball in college and then professionally for a very long time. I found my passion for volleyball at seven years old, and I have been playing since then. I want to play at the highest level, and I am committed to do the hard work necessary. I believe my love and passion for the sport show when I play. I really enjoy the team aspect of volleyball, and I try to be a supportive and uplifting member on every team. I have served as the captain of my team for many years. As captain, my goal is to always support and encourage the other members of my team while doing my personal best. I am not afraid of challenges or hard work. I am driven and work diligently to reach my goals.
For the last three years, I was selected as one of the AAAA Region Players of the Year for South Carolina. I also made the South Carolina Coaches' Association of Women's Sports All-State team each of those years. My team and I have won two South Carolina State Championships and have been the runners-up two times. As the captain and starting outside hitter for our team, I am very proud of our accomplishments. This year, MaxPreps Volleyball named me the best player in South Carolina, and I was recognized on the JVA Watchlist. At the conclusion of my 2022 club season, my club team made it to the AAU National Championship match in Orlando, Florida, and I was named and AAU All-American All-Star. In 2024, my team fished fifth at the AAU National Championship match, and I was selected and and AAU All-Star for the second time. I hope to continue to improve as an athlete and leader in the years ahead as I am committed to play volleyball for the University of Georgia.
My passion for volleyball extends beyond the indoor court. I have played beach volleyball very competitively for several years. I have traveled extensively to train and compete with other athletes from across the country. My beach partners and I have competed at the highest level, winning many championship titles. Due to my success in beach volleyball, I was invited to participate in the USAV National Team Development Program (NDTP) for USA Volleyball. I have been incredibly honored by the opportunity to train with the most elite players in the country by the best coaches in the sport.
I also aspire to excel academically as I pursue a degree in biology with hopes to work in a science-related or medical field. I have maintained over a 5.0 GPA, and I am in the top 1% of my class. I am a member of the National Honor Society, an organization that recognize academic excellence and community service. I have also been named an AP Scholar as I have completed and received credit for multiple AP courses. As I take AP and Dual Enrollment classes through our local college as a high school student, I hope to continue to achieve at the highest levels.
I look forward to continuing to grow as a person and positively impact others through the sport of volleyball. I enjoy serving in my community, participating in my church community, volunteering to support individuals with special needs, and working with younger players who are just learning to love the sport. I have spent time coaching them in various settings over the last few years. I know I have so much to learn from future coaches and teammates, and I am very excited about the challenges to come.
