Every athlete who signs up to play volleyball wants to play in the game one way or another. Obviously, that's why they are there. However, there is a difference in wanting to play the game and striving to play the game. Let me expand on this statement, wanting to play the game is about showing up and participating in the game. Striving to play the game is about being there and giving your heart and soul into the game. What makes me different than other players is that I strive to play the game. I don't just show up to practice physically, I show up mentally, regardless of anything going on in my life. You could show up at my house, wake me up at 3 a.m., tell me it's time to play, and I would be up in a heartbeat ready to give my all. I believe it's not about being the best on the court, it's about standing out. Being vocal, encouraging, listening to teammates, giving everything you have to pursue the ball is what I'm about. Jumping higher than the person on the other side of the net, knowing when to use power or precision when attacking, knowing whether the opponents setter is front row or back, all these qualities are essentials for a person who strives to play the game. I believe I have these qualities. I would be an excellent addition to a college team playing at the next level. I am ready to give my all to future team and coaching staff.
