Hi my name is Kylie Davis! I have lived in Rock Hill, SC for most of my life, so I’ve enjoyed the small town experience. I have always wanted to study abroad in Greece or Italy because I love ancient history. I am planning on majoring in history in college, but I am not sure yet what I will do with that. I have thought about studying to be a college professor, but I also have thought about getting a business degree and owning my own business. I would like to help save dogs from the pound by opening a dog cafe where people can come and enjoy food and drinks and also play with the dogs.
I started playing volleyball when I was in third grade and I have been playing ever since. I love playing, and I am not ready to give it up when I go to college. I have played as libero for my high school team for the past four years, and I have been captain for the past three years. I have received All-Conference and All-State awards several times during my high school career. I also played on regional and semi-national club teams as libero/DS. This year I am playing club again to enhance my abilities before I go to college.
I have grown up in a Christian home, and I accepted Christ as my Savior when I was 15. He influences most of the decisions I make, and because of that I am a different player than most. I am a hard worker on the court, at school, and at my workplace. I am the loudest person on my team, and I am constantly encouraging everyone on and off the court. I love cultivating the team atmosphere, and I like to plan things for my team to do outside of school, whether it's a movie night, going swimming, or going out to eat together. I am in the top of my class when it comes to academics with a GPA of 5.13. I have had straight A’s throughout high school and have done many extracurricular activities as well. I participated in my school's debate club. I have received awards for both my National Latin Exam and Medusa Mythology Exam scores. I was a junior marshal last year, and was elected as the president of a student body organization this year. I was selected to attend this year's Palmetto Girls State, and have also sung in my school's ensemble.I also volunteer regularly at my church and in my community.
