Hi Coaches:
Thank you for reviewing my page. As I enter my senior year of high school, I am excited about the possibility of playing collegiately and working harder than ever on my volleyball skills. My goal is to play college volleyball at a university that not only offers stiff competition, but also quality education in preparation for life after college. I hope to be part of a close-knit team and serve a vital role in the team's success on the court. My skill level developed through club ball with exceptional coaches and privates along with my easy-going personality and willingness to be coached make me a great candidate for college teams.
My family has shaped me both in terms of athletics as well as personal character. My uncle played Div. I football at the University of Memphis while my father was offered a football scholarship at Rhodes College. I grew up surrounded by family members with a competitive spirit, so I think some of that shaped my drive to succeed. I value hard work and the lessons learned along the way. While my club team is having an up-and-down season, I've personally never been happier regarding the way we have played the game, bonded as a team, and the level of development I've personally experienced over this season. I have pushed myself harder in each practice to constantly get better, surprising myself in the ever-increasing amount of sweat as well as skill level. I have a 3.9 grade point average while taking advanced placement and dual-enrollment classes, and look forward to maintaining this level of academic success in college.
Thank you, Corbin Michael
