At the age of 8, I was introduced to world of competitive team volleyball by the way of my select softball team and I joining a locale rec volleyball team. Our coach encouraged us to join in order to stay sharp, keep in condition and continue to learn the value of team work. It was playing on this team I fell in Love with the sport of competitive Volleyball!
Two years later I moved to a local volleyball Club, AAA Orange Crush, a team my older sister was playing with. On this team I played two years up from my age group for the competition and to sharpen my skills. While playing on the AAA Orange Crush and in the middle of my 8th grade Middle School volleyball season I was recruited by the NRG National 14U Volleyball Team with Brandy Bryan. With this blessing, hard work, drive, and determination I was able to excel in my volleyball skills. As a Freshman I achieved, being a 6-rotation player, MVP of the Varsity Team, Conference New Comer, and District All Academic. My sophomore year was very productive with leading my team to a 5A Conference Championship 14-1, Conference MVP (with 100% of the Conference Coaches votes), MVP of the Varsity Team, District All Academic, and FTW Star-Telegram nominee for All Area Player of the Year and All Area MVP of the Year with 566 Kills, 318 digs, 48 aces, 10 or more kills in 33 games including the final 18 matches with 13 Double Doubles.
From a very early age, I have always been fearless and extremely competitive, learning not to let anything or anyone stand in the way of my goals as a team mate or an individual. Hard work, team comradery, the love of stiff competition, elevating myself and my team mates to be the very best, and the thrill of victory being imbedded in my Volleyball DNA!
I have been an “A” Honor Roll student since Middle School with a current GPA of 3.9 with a class ranking of 51 out of 412. The University/College I am wanting to attend will possess academic excellence with a competitive volleyball program where I can bring my top academics and superior volleyball skills to not only impact the volleyball program but to succeed as a student athlete. I believe I not only possess the skill and knowledge to compete at a collegiate level, but the work-ethic, character, and leadership skills to make an immediate impact in your program. I am confident that I have what it takes to be a leader on your team!
