I am looking for a college that will be a good fit for me academically as well as have a very competitive athletic program. I enjoy playing for coaches that are intense and challenging but have fun at the same time. I believe I have developed the character, work ethic, and leadership skills that will be a positive impact on a collegiate program.
My experiences with different clubs, coaches and teams over the past 7 years has developed a strong inner confidence and drive in me to continue training to become a well-rounded athlete capable of playing at the college level. I have wanted to play collegiate ball since my first season in fifth grade.
During theses past few months I have been spending time working out with my club and school teams. Attending hitting, passing and sand clinics. I have completed my junior year with straight A's and have retaken my ACT. Recently, I was honored to receive the MVP award from my school's varsity volleyball program and Up and Coming Award from my varsity golf team. I have been grateful over the past two years to earn many sports achievements; All District First Team as a Junior, All Tournament Player and All Tournament Team at two varsity volleyball tournaments junior year, MVP junior year, All District 2nd Team as a Sophomore, and have made school history as a sophomore by winning our school's first ever state title in the Texas State UIL 3A Volleyball Championship. This past season my school team was very young in age and experience. My coaches challenged me to become a stronger leader on the court and learn to hit outside/right side positions, as well as my normal middle responsibilities.
I have been fortunate to play on some very successful club and high school teams, winning state, earning National Qualifiers bids, and winning many tournaments over the 7 years I have been playing. Most importantly, I have learned how to lead others to draw from my experiences, confidence and drive while pushing a team to fight for the win using teamwork and perseverance. I am putting in lots of time in the gym and the court, I can't wait to get this senior year started!
