Update April, 2021: I have verbally committed to Campbell University for the class of 2022.
I am Alessandra Clent, Aley for short even though nothing else about me is short.
I'm the daughter of immigrants, which gives me a truly multicultural perspective on life. My mom is from Croatia, while my Dad is from the Netherlands where he was a professional basketball player as well as a business executive.
I have been a Girl Scout for 8 years, currently working on my gold award.
Having been a competitive dancer until the age of 12, I am now in my 4th season of volleyball and still improving my skills. I am a middle hitter with a high killing percentage and have also played opposite hitter in the past. I'm very coachable and am a hard worker, as well as a leader and supporter of my teams. I play varsity at Coppell High School in Texas, and am on first-team at Arete 16 Navy Telos, playing open division in the North Texas Region.
I chose Arete after careful consideration, watching hours of video, and trying out at various clubs. The setters at Arete proved to be a perfect match for my height and hitting skills, as well as having a wonderful coaching staff that consists of a former 'All American' setter and a former college middle.
I want to study business & entrepreneurship; I started my first company at the age of 11 selling customized organic baked goods to businesses in my local community.
My objective is to attend a college where I can further my business acumen and hone my volleyball skills.
I would love to hear more about your college's business and volleyball programs and hopefully, we can share our future together. My video link:
