Volleyball came into my life slowly at first, as one of the many sports I found myself participating in when I was younger. However, gradually I learned about my love of the sport and it began to trump all others. I went from playing at the YMCA to deciding to try out another league and then club, climbing up the levels and divisions of clubs as I became more and more familiar with the complexity and variety of the sport. My passion undoubtedly accompanied my drive to progress and has allowed me to pursue my talents as competitively as possible.
I'm currently a sophomore at the Episcopal School of Dallas and playing for varsity both my freshman and sophomore year has taught me so much about myself and helped me grow as an athlete and person. My confidence on the court and communication skills have soared due to the environment I've been placed in. Through the hardships within the game in both school and club volleyball, my persistence has grown and I now know that I'm willing to do all that I can to get to where I want to be; I know how to manage tough situations and keep going despite hardships.
My goals and expectations for myself have always been very high academically, athletically, and personally because I know that I can accomplish so much if I put forth my best efforts. I have invested so much of myself in this sport and am eager to do more, with my ultimate goal being playing at the collegiate level. I believe that with my attitude and abilities, I can be a great asset to a competitive team.
