Zayda PEREZ '21 Recruiting Profile

Hi my name is Zayda Perez. My love for volleyball started when my mom coached me for my recreation team. I realized then this is the sport I enjoy playing. I went on to play a few years of club volleyball to better myself and to prepare myself to play at high school level. During this time I have played summer league volleyball and attended a few volleyball camps. I have also enjoyed hosting a couple of volleyball camps for the younger kids. I attend Diboll High School where the last two years I have played varsity level, and we have been bi-district champs. I work hard to get where I need and want to be. Being a team player,  getting along with my teammates and having a positive attitude are qualities that coaches have always acknowledged in me.  I know the importance of academics and the grades that are needed for upper level competition. The course of study that I would like to take while attending college is social work. I am a senior in high school ready to play at a collegiate level.
