Hello, My name is Brianna Lopez; I am currently a junior and attend Dilley High School in Dilley, Tx. I was born on February 10, 2003, in Pearsall, Tx. I am currently 4’11 and 115 lbs. I am more dominant with my right hand. My primary position is unknown to me because well my team is small so we are not given a specific place, but my coaches usually have been in the back row either in the middle or on the left side. I am still getting a hang of my position due to this being my first year playing volleyball in high school. In my own words plain and simple, I am a ballplayer and I love the game of volleyball. Since I was little I have loved the game of volleyball and would always be watching clips here and there of different college teams with my dad when I am able too. I respect the game and all the people I have played with. I have had the opportunity to learn the game from great coaches. I know without any of their help or without them, I wouldn't be the player that I am now. There is always more to learn. When I am not playing volleyball or not in school I enjoy working at my job and playing around with my siblings. I also like to spend time with my family and watch a good game on Sports Center. School, volleyball, and working at Jalisco take up most of my time. Over the winter months, I do speed and agility training in school and catch up on a book I need to finish. My parents tell me to take it easy for at least one day a week, so if there is no work on Sunday I try to do something with all of my siblings. My parents are very positive people. They have always supported me in volleyball. That's one of the reasons I love playing so much. When it comes to college I would like to major in physical therapy to become an athletic trainer or a labor and delivery nurse. If volleyball doesn't work out I would like to get into helping those who get hurt while doing something they love and help women during their time of pregnancy. As far as my most important accomplishments I have played junior varsity basketball and junior varsity volleyball this year and it was an amazing experience considering I got an academic honor roll. My seventh-grade year is when I first started playing volleyball. I wasn’t sure and didn’t have that much time. For highschool, at first, it was hard playing with players a year or two years younger than me as a junior, but in no time I was part of the team I also like to think that this experience will help me more in college. In conclusion, I would like to assure all of the college coaches interested in me that I'm a hard worker. I try to be a better student, volleyball player, and person every day. On the field, I communicate clearly and loudly off of the field I would say I am a little quieter than most. Coaches usually tell me that I am very coachable and always open to listening to advice.
