Hi, my name is Kylie Vu. I currently live in Austin, Texas. I was born in Detroit, Michigan, but moved to San Francisco, California when I was 9 years old. I immediately started playing volleyball and quickly grew to love the sport. Though I wasn't the happiest about moving to Texas in the middle of my freshman year; a new state, a new school, trying to make new friends. The one thing that remained the same was my passion for volleyball. I realized that California and Texas volleyball are quite different and I'm proud of the fact that I was able to learn and play for both. I've always played middle hitter and absolutely love it, however I've been working on transitioning to pin hitter and that's been a lot of fun too. I know very well how to be a team player, I come from a large family. I am the second oldest of 5 kids. Both at home and on the court I contribute to a team. I am adaptable and enjoy learning new skills, playing different positions and working with new coaches/teammates. I simply love the game of volleyball, and no matter what state I'm in, or which position I'm playing, I am just so happy to play and compete at the highest level possible.
