Lauren Montes '21 Recruiting Profile

My name Lauren Montes middle blocker for the class of 2021. I have been playing volleyball since the 6th grade. I'm very passionate in my volleyball career. I remember from my first game, I could not even get the ball over net to now being able to look for holes and be a valualbe resources to the team.  One thing that really drives me to pursue my dream of playing at the collegiate level is that when I started volleyball,  all my classmates and friends didn't think I could pursue volleyball any further than participation award middle school. But to this day, I am really striving in my volleyball ability. I can't wait to achieve my goals of playing the sport that means the most to me at the collegiate level, to show all those people that doubted me what I have to contribute. I take everything in my life very seriously and work my hardest to be the best. I will say my work ethic is one to beat. Every time I walk on to the volleyball court, I give my 110%. Everyday, I grow as a volleyball player and as a student. With both of these factors my skill level grows as well. One thing I will say about me is that i'm there for my team mates through thick and thin. I will always give out all the work that I put in,  and once I step on that court everything in my mind leaves except my passion and drive for this sport.
