My Name is Olivia P. Rome. I live in El Paso, Texas. I currently am a Junior at Loretto Academy in El Paso, Texas.
I am a Setter, Hitter, Blocker and Passer. I love to win and am extremely competitive on the court. I give 110% ALL the time, whether it's indoor or sand volleyball. I am a consistent server and very coachable player. I am dedicated and determined to play high level volleyball at a university or college upon graduating high school in 2016.
I am very involved in several school clubs and in my community. This Spring, I became a member of the National Honor Society. I also was awarded the Rotary Youth Leadership Award and last year was featured in my local newspaper as the "Setter To Watch" during my high school season and a full page article about how I lead my team was published at the end of the season. I have won numerous MVP awards and tournament medals. I received an Honorable Mention in the El Paso Times All-City Volleyball Article, published December 28, 2014.
Upon graduating high school in 2016, I hope to attend a college or university that will help me grow academically as a person while playing volleyball at a higher level. I wish to study biology and have a career that is environmentally related.

- Team lost its best offensive player and second best defensive player after January for financial and injury reasons. Hitters have proven inconsistent so the coach has moved me half time to hitter. The second setter is one of the hitters that when stuggling the entire team struggles. We have 8 players.

- On My Athlete Evaluation Brian Wriight wrote: Olivia, you have great court presence and great personality. Couple with the fact that you worked hard during every session, and it was a definite pleasure to have you in camp. You have really strong hands which is an important skill for becoming a great setter. Continue to work on your body position relative to the ball. When you're under the ball, you have complete control of your set locations and tempos. Focus on getting your hands up early. A little quicker release will also help you with tempo control especially when setting the middles. Keep working hard-keep loving to play- and keep bringing your personality to the court with every team you're on. I hope you enjoyed the camp as I enjoyed working with you this week!
