Perrie Sedgwick '23 Recruiting Profile

Hi everyone!! I am Perrie Sedgwick, a setter in the class of 2023. I have been playing volleyball since the age of ten. Growing up as “the volleyball coach’s kid” I’ve always loved watching the game and wanted to play. Starting as a club setter, then playing in middle and high school, this sport has come to mean so much to me - the team camaraderie, the thrill of providing a great set, successful outcomes of a game with big and small victories - I love volleyball!

I have always been a smart, well-rounded, and encouraging teammate, along with being a caring and compassionate friend. I am also very dedicated in all that I do, within both the sports and academic arenas.

With almost 8 years of playing volleyball year-round, I am very aware of how to successfully play the game, how to instruct teammates on best practices, encourage them, plus, I adapt quickly to change. I take my role of setter very seriously and embrace leadership characteristics on the court, in academics, and within my friendships, too.

Regarding my athletic goals, I would love to become part of a competitive team in collegiate volleyball, where I can continue to learn and grow as a setter and team leader. As far as my personal/career goals, I am generally interested in business and marketing. I look forward to beginning both my college athletic and academic careers respectively.
