Welcome to the life of Asia Otieno! I'm a senior, class of 2021 and attend Grand Prairie High School. I have played volleyball for the past 8 years or more. This has been a family tradition but I will be the first to play at the collegiate level. I am a leader on and off the court. I'm a dance captain for my church's dance team. Not only am I committed and focused on volleyball but I am even more focused on my academics.
I desire to attend a school that cannot only provide me with a great athletic experience but can provide me with a greater scholastic journey. My passion is to further my studies in Healthcare. I believe in helping people on and off the court.
I have played on varsity since my sophomore year in high school and I have played club volleyball since 2019. The position I play at both levels is MB but can play back row when necessary. Volleyball isn't just a sport to me but it has taught me two valuable lessons in life. One, that no matter if you make a mistake, shake it off, and get back and kill your next opportunity. Lastly, you have to be agile with what life may throw at you.
