I foresee my college experience to be a personal enhancement experience.  I plan to pursue a business major that will prepare me to become more marketable in a corporate setting.  I have been playing volleyball since I was 11 years old.  Much of my influence was from my peers at school, teachers and my coach.  While playing this sport, I have learned that my height, swift movements and awareness of opponent’s position gives me an advantage on the court.  Although I have had a few obstacles along the way such as my ADHD diagnosis and my mother’s cancer diagnosis and treatment, these life situations have encouraged me to practice harder and focus more.  The volleyball sport has helped me cope and has disciplined me on how to handle such situations. Respectively, I will act in a manner knowing that the way I carry myself will not only affect my team but also my coaches and the school I attend.
