Hi! My name is Alexandria Youngblood. I started playing volleyball in the 4th grade. I'd just moved to a new town and the head volleyball coach for the high school said to me, " Your tall, you should play volleyball!" I found out information to find out what I needed to do, so I could play. What camps, clinics, or open gyms were open so I could be there. From that day I found a club and started my volleyball career. During this time I attended a close friends volleyball tournament and it excited. I started thinking about my future and what college I wanted to play for when I got older. That's where my motivation started. I wanted to play at that higher level and I did everything it took. I'm a three year varsity player for Kennedale High School where I have maintained a 3.9 GPA throughout the school year. I am the loud, smiling, very excited teammate that goes crazy for every block, up, set or kill. I'm on the court or the sidelines yelling if the ball is in or out. If it's deep or short. What spot on the court is open. No matter where I am I'm talking non stop. My work ethic during practice and training shows how bad I want to play volleyball at the college level. I don't waste reps and I put in extra work. Whether that be waking up early in the morning to do a workout, or staying up late a night to get some extra touches. Even on my rest days I don't sit and do nothing, I go on a walk, stretch or do a workout on the peleton. Anything it takes to get to the next level. Thank you for time, I hope you see how much of a difference I can make on your team.
