Volleyball is not just a game to me, it is a lifestyle. I have been playing volleyball since I was nine years old. At that age, I pushed my parents to let me go to the camps, I worked with the high school girls, and I practiced for hours throughout the day even before I reached middle school. Playing college is my biggest goal, as it is a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity where skills are improved, friends are made, and championships can be won.
For the past year, I have been working on and off the court daily. I have gone from watching college videos, tutorials, finding and building things to help me practice at home, buying nets, attending private lessons, and finding clubs to play with year-round. I am a swift learner with a solid determination to be the best. I am highly coachable and always finding things to improve and work on. I push my team and motivate them throughout the game, and I encourage friendships off the court to maintain a better team relationship on the court. I assist my coaches with drill ideas and constantly work with incoming players to perfect their forms. I will be the hardest working and motivated recruit colleges can find.
I have been team captain for my tennis varsity team and team captain for my volleyball varsity team. I have been a starter for the past two years, playing all around, and I push myself every single game. I work on the court, off the court, and in the gym. I constantly work on my grades and take college classes/courses. I have maintained a 4.0/4.0 GPA throughout highschool, and my freshman year, I had a 4.75/5.0. I find ways to practice even through injuries, and my progression has been noticed by my coaches, teammates, and parents. I currently have over 30 dual credit hours and I am working on more classes to complete.
I want to be a part of a college that will push me academically and physically, but will also offer lasting relationships. Community is a key aspect I want to be in the college I attend, and also focused on bettering the world. Playing college is a huge aspiration of mine, and I will better the college program that recruits me.
