After receiving several offers to play college volleyball, I picked the one I felt was right for me. Unfortunately, I learned that circumstances were not as I believed, and so now I am now back in search of a college volleyball opportunity where I can train, learn, grow and participate. Because I received several offers, I am confident that I have the abilities, but I accept that I have much to learn and grow in my sport and as a person.
I am a relentless gym rat who loves to play volleyball. I am an honors student. I am a dedicated, hardworking young woman who is also passionate and active in my community and school.
My academic plan is to pursue a career in Finance. I firmly believe in teamwork and I believe that in order to be ultimately successful teamwork is a vital element and the key to winning in any sport. Because I view my teammates as an extension of my family, I look to bring out the best in my teammates and hope that they too will bring out the best in me.
My athletic plan is to play in college, and I understand that this means hard work, perseverance and dedication to the sport and my team. I enjoy volleyball, and I enjoy life. In both, I understand that you sometimes have to see what and how things tick, and sometimes you just have to be willing to tear them apart to put them back together to understand what and how can make them better. In volleyball, I have been privileged to have the opportunity to play several positions: right-side, libero and setter. I am a setter who can play defense, or a libero/DS that can set. Either way, I am an all-around player, looking for an opportunity where my character, initiative, energy, drive, commitment, and leadership will have a favorable impact and support my team. My coaches describe me as determined, outgoing, competitive, and hard-working. I have also been described me as a setter who can and will play defense. I am a coachable, dedicated athlete, who will do what is necessary to excel in any position and as a teammate. I believe that to be my best I must be solid yet flexible within the learning process. I am open to all college options, and I know that my positive attitude and level of commitment will yield the right college and life opportunities. For me, volleyball is a part of who I have grown to be. Volleyball is more than just hitting the ball back and forth. It is about strategy, sight and wisdom. At the end of the day, I am searching for a well-rounded program that will allow the best opportunity to continue life with the best social, academic and athletic experiences.
