My name is Ella Wendel and I am a 6' tall, 2022 middle blocker. My primary position is middle blocker, but I am a well-rounded volleyball player being able to play any position on the front row and back row.
I became a starter on the Hendrickson High School Varsity volleyball team as a freshman in 2018. I also made the Lone Star High Performance volleyball team and won a silver medal in the 2019 High Performance National Championships in Fort Lauderdale. I consider myself as a resilient and coachable player. Each year I have been striving to improve my game, along with taking on additional training opportunities. My play will continue to improve as I am training daily with more experienced teammates who will continue their careers at select universities.
I enjoy playing and learning at a high level, against older competition. I have become more focused on my volleyball improvement, along with the importance of my school work. I work hard at my studies, especially with the time management that's needed in the demanding schedules of both high school and club play. I am looking to attend a school that can recognize me for both my volleyball and academic skills, and I believe that I am fully prepared to meet the challenge of playing at the next level.
