Hi, my name is Mikayla.
I just completed my 8th grade volleyball season at Athlos Learship Acedemy.
I'm looking forward to start my club volleyball season with the San Antonio Warriors Volleyball Club.
About two years ago, I was introduced to the sport of volleyball when my mom asked me to sit down and watch college volleyball games with her.
I enjoyed watching these games and couldn't believe how athlectic the girls were.
This expierence lead me to try out for my school's 7th grade volleyball team.
This year, I not only made the 8th grade volleyball team, but I was a starter for every game.
Through volleyball, I have learned better sportsmanship and to always respect my opponent.
I have built strong relationships with my teammates and coaches.
The skills I possess on the court include taking a leadership role by encoureging my teammates to always do their best and by keeping them motivatied to work together to be successful.
Off the court I enjoy reading, attending church, cooking, and barbecuing with my stepdad.
In my second barbecue competition at the Bexar County Junior Livestock Show, I placed second with my delious pork chops.
I have amazing parents who have been a great influence in my life.
Every morning, my stepdad reminds me to focus on my school work, choose my friends wisely, and to stay on track with my fitness.
My mom encourages me to be a good student, a good leader, and to have good character.
My high school academic goal is to focus on my school work to achieve A's and B's.
My college academic goals include making A's and B's, achieving a high GPA, and to ultimatley obtain a degree as a doctor of veterinary medicine.
