I am Kiley Michalec, class of 2021, varsity libero with a GPA of 3.8. I'm looking for a program that will be a good fit for me athletically as well as academically in pursuing a major in criminal justice with a minor in foreign language. I believe I have the talent to compete in volleyball for a college team, and the character, communication skills, work ethic and ability to make an impact on a college program in both athletics and academics with my pursuit of a career in criminal justice to work in a criminal intelligence division/field.
When I was 4 I began gymnastics, by JH played in multiple sports, and starting in 7th grade was developing my passion for volleyball. The opportunity to make the playoffs every year of volleyball since I was a freshman has been the highlight and goals at this time during my High School career. I am also fortunate to be able to play in some of the best club programs to receive training by High School and Colleges coaches. I have learned the value of teamwork, commitment and sacrifice, with or without a trophy on and off the court, and the dedication to play to the best of my ability at all times in all sports I played, which has helped shape me into the player I am now. My High School team in softball I played as a freshman, won District, and made playoffs to Regionals. I went to State as a sophomore in track and won 4th place in the 4x200 relay. My personal best time, in the 100 meter dash, is 12.61 seconds. Being a cheerleader since 7th grade, this year 2019/20 our squad won the Silver Medal at the UIL Spirit State Championships and in 2018/19 we were state finalists. All these experiences have helped me to grow and focus on my effort in volleyball, my chosen sport, to becoming a solid player capable of playing at the collegiate level.
