I don’t even know where to begin with volleyball. I guess you can say it is the quickest way to put a smile on my face. I started playing volleyball back in 7th grade for my school and started club by 8th grade year. Since then, I have not stopped. Volleyball has helped me create lifelong memories and relationships with others. Through volleyball, I’ve seen what I can accomplish, and I know what I can do! Every time I step on the court, I realize that it is a mental challenge with myself more than anything else. So, every time I'm on the court, I try to better every ball I touch, be a leader on the court, and never give up on any ball, because I know what I do on the court will transfer off the court and vice versa. That’s why I believe that volleyball has also helped me grow as a person, because if I can push myself on the court, I know I can do the same off the court. I attend one of the highest ranking academic public schools in Texas and a 3.8 GPA, so I believe I am able to balance volleyball and my education pretty well, although my parents have always taught me that education must come FIRST! Above all, volleyball has been my consistency through a lot of hard change, and I believe that its more than just a sport to me, it's my lifestyle. I've never been the tallest on the court, but my hustle and determination has always made up for that.
