Camdyn Mirkes '21 Recruiting Profile

My name is Camdyn Mirkes, I am a 6'1" Right Side Hitter. In eighth grade I played on the Texas Legends club team as a Middle Hitter. As a Freshman I was a starting Middle Hitter on JV. Some of my accomplishments that I am proud of during that season would be obtaining the most blocks that season and my JV team was first in district. As a Freshman I played for the Texas Fury Volleyball Club and switched to Right Side Hitter. Sophomore year I played varsity as a Right Side Hitter and was awarded All State Honorable Mention. What I have learned during my three years of volleyball is is a great volleyball team requires teamwork, good relationships, and excellent leadership. I have been fortunate to display these qualities on the court but also in the class room setting as Editor-in-Chief of the high school yearbook. This allowed me the opportunity to continue to develop those leadership skills which I will be able to use as a Junior on the volleyball court, and in my second year Editor-in-Chief position. Academically I have been inducted into the National Honor Society, and have been able to keep my GPA above 3.6 cumulative during the first two years of High School. My intelligence allows me to have a significantly high volleyball IQ and can use that to my advantage in offense and defense during a game. I have a passion for volleyball; I have a passion for education; putting these two together would make me an excellent member for your team.
